Leave a voice message that sounds and feels as if you’re talking in person!
Tips and Tricks from Nola Speaks:
Stand up when you leave the message.
Hold the phone upward (vs. at speaking level). This makes your voice project and adds energy to your tone. Tilt your phone upwards and away from the face. Know what you’re going to say before you leave the message so your thought (and message) is well organized. If reading from notes, keep them at eye level (or higher) so that your voice projects outward vs. downward.
Did you know that you can hear a smile? Try it! If appropriate, smile when leaving your message so that your warm tone will shine through. Tone builds connection with the listener.
