Here's an Easy 1-2-3 to Effective Storytelling

Stories connect people. Here's an easy 1-2-3 to effective storytelling:

1. Most important with any speaking situation/storytelling is to be authentic.
Choose a story that's meaningful to you. And one that will be of interest and have meaning for your audience/listener.

Note your tone when speaking. Tone and intonation add meaning to words and are easy and fun to use. Good nonverbal language also communicates a message and builds connection.

2. Organize the story and talking points. Stories have visuals which make them easy to remember. Well delivered stories have a certain energy and emotion which adds to the speaker/listener connection.

3. Executive presence is important here because it builds connection. Focus on your purpose with what you're going to say/share.

Authentic, interesting, well delivered stories are the foundation for great conversations. They are memorable, easy to organize and share.
